umm, in 1.04 my clan use to frequently do shotgun rushes in war or prac wars so that it stops us being predictable.
one of the best was on the map with waste, fusion and satcom (tanith?).
we rushed west access into the hive in waste, dropped armoury, built it, dropped 5 shotguns 2 welders 3 packs of mines. and shot down the hive. i think we didn't have much trouble back then, cos there wasn't a many skilled teams like there was in 2.0 and 3.
we managed to get to the hive QUICKLY without wasting time by building armoury at spawn.
if we started to get picked off, we'de split into two groups and the smaller group would continue to the hive to decoy the relocation to a diff hive.
2 hive lockdown till JP/HMG was up was a good backup plan. i wish i made a demo of those matches. theyde be quite interesting to watch now with all the updates.
jp's were quick to get, and HMGS did full damage to buildings aswell as aliens.
